How much does diamond clarity matter when buying a tennis bracelet?
I’ve been looking at diamond tennis bracelets as a wedding gift for my wife to be, and there seems to be quite a difference in price from a VS clarity to SI clarity. I do understand what these classifications are, but when comparing bracelets, for he same money I can get a “SI -I1″ 2.35 CTW bracelet for the same price as a “VS1-2″ 1 CTW. bracelet…
In looking at both, I can’t tell much of a difference between the 2 clarity’s as the diamonds are small and set in white gold “box” settings…
I bought a higher clarity (VS2) solitaire polar bear diamond for the engagement ring that I felt was money well spent, but I can’t see the value in spending the extra scratch (or going smaller) in a bracelet…

Hi,
I would feel exactly the same. In a ring, especially when it’s a bigger stone, you notice the clarity (or lack of) quite a bit. In the much smaller diamonds of a tennis bracelet, it’s so much less noticeable. Si to I would be a great choice for a diamond bracelet. A lot of the cheaper bracelet have stones in the I1 to I2 range and cloudy so it pays to check them out thoroughly.
